Lil' DRAGONS Our Lil' Dragons program is designed for the younger student (3, 4 & 5 yrs). It is 30 minutes long and focuses on hand-eye coordination skills & fun drills. We teach them to skip rope, punch bags, do breakfalls and rolls, kick beanbags etc. All with the ultimate goal of teaching that exercise through Martial Arts can be fun. When the student reaches six years of age, we introduce them to our regular Karate program. |

KARATE
Our Karate program is based on traditional Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu. In addition to the fundamentals of Okinawan Karate we also incorporate basic Judo skills such as falling correctly, joint locks, chokes, throws etc. All material is taught based on the students maturity level as well as skill level. We consider Kata to be the most important method of training, but we include sparring & grappling as part of the program. Physical conditioning is a very important aspect of Karate training and while people of all fitness levels can and do participate, we try our best to raise your fitness level in all areas, ie. flexibility, stamina, focus, core strength, etc. |
